Resting in the small village Rushton Spencer, between Leek and Macclesfield, is this detached house, Horse Shoe Cottage.
Set over three floors and sleeping up to nine guests, Horse Shoe Cottage is a pet friendly and homely dwelling for your next visit to Cheshire, within easy reach of the Peak District National Park and Alton Towers.
Useful Information
Noise
Please keep the noise down between the hours of 9pm-9am. No parties. Be kind to neighbours and locals.
Bins
Please empty internal bins before you check out into the outside bin provided. The bin is located next to the lock box down the side of the cottage.
Heating
The heating ran by the Stanley Cooker. It will be on during autumn and winter. Please use the thermosat in the hallway to adjust as you need.
Stanley
Please do not use the Stanley cooker for cookery, it only controls the heating and hot water.
Hot Water
Hot water is provided through the Stanley for sinks and bath taps. The electric shower in the bathroom runs off a different supply.
Kitchen
The kitchen was fitted in June 2021. All instructions for appliances are in the top kitchen draw.
T.V & Games
We have a smart TV in the living room. You are welcome to log into your smart apps. A DVD player is in the TV stand draws. Games are in the grey basket in the garden room.
Smoking
No smoking inside the barn. If you wish to smoke please go to the gravel parking away from the property.
Bedding
Please strip all bedding before you check out. Leave mattress and pillow protectors on.
Towels
Please put used towels in the bath before you check out.
House Keeping
There are cleaning products under the sink. Iron, ironing board and clothes maid are in the master bedroom wardrobe.

Keys
You will be given a code to the lock box to collect the key and check yourself in. Please put the key back in the lock box when you check out.
Arrival
On arrival there will be milk, tea, coffee and sugar provided. We also provide hand soap but not toiletries.
Departure
Please follow the checkout tick list on departure...
-Turn all lights off
-Turn the heating down to 15degrees
-Close all windows and doors
-Please strip the beds
-Please put the key in the lockbox
-Used towels in the bath
-Have you got all your belongings?
Drains
Please do not flush sanitary products, nappies, wipes, cotton wool, or cotton buds down the toilets. We have a sensitive septic sank system. Please only flush loo roll down. Please do not put oil or fat down the sinks.
FIRE
In the event of a fire please evacuate the cottage and as far away as possible. Then call 999 immediately. There is a small fire extinguisher under the sink and the cottage is fitted with smoke alarms and carbon monoxide alarms.

DOGS

Please keep dogs under control and within the garden grounds. We also ask that you clean up after you're dog outside.
GARDENS
-
The gardener visits most Fridays and cuts the lawns at the back, he will let himself in to the garden during the spring and summer months to keep everywhere looking tidy. Please don't be alarmed.
